Orphaned wombat joey always takes time to smell the flowers

- Grace, an orphaned wombat joey, knows how to enjoy life despite a rough start at an early age.

Video of Grace, released on October 22 in commemoration of the Wombat Day, shows the pretty joey sniffing flowers and enjoying some garden time at the Australian Reptile Park.

A zoo spokesman said Grace was found in the pouch of her dead mother and saved by a passer-by. She will remain under the care of the park for about 12 months, after which park staff will determine whether she is strong enough to be released to the wild, he said.
