WATCH: Baby giraffe stretches her legs outside

A giraffe calf at the Abilene Zoo in Texas was captured on camera having great fun, finally allowed to stretch her legs in the giraffe exhibit alongside her family.

The giraffe, named "Malaika," which is "angel" in Swahili, was born January 8 around 7 a.m. to her mother, "Sunny."

The zoo posted earlier this month that "Malaika" was caught on camera vocalizing, which was a rare occurrence. It happened when she was only about 24 hours old and separated from her mom during a medical procedure.

They've since been reunited and are bonding well. Malaika is not only getting to meet the rest of her family, she is getting some outside-time with her half-brothers, mom, and aunt on exhibit.

She also got to meet some helmeted guinea fowl, a bird native to Africa, that share the exhibit with the giraffe
