A waterspout that developed over California’s Humboldt Bay moved onto the Woodley Island Marina on January 25, causing minor damage, the National Weather Service in Eureka said.

Security footage on the island captured the waterspout moving through the marina onto the island at around 4.40 pm, NWS Eureka reported.

The organization also said that because the waterspout moved onto land, it technically became a tornado, becoming the first confirmed tornado in the forecasting area since the Fort Bragg tornado on December 5, 1998.
