Shelf cloud rolls over Oklahoma as cold front approaches

A cold front rolled through Oklahoma Thursday, bringing with it a massive shelf cloud and wintery weather.

Two views of the shelf cloud were captured in Pauls Valley, south of Oklahoma City.

Wind gusts of 40-50 miles per hour were expected behind the cold front, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow and freezing rain also swept across the state with the cold front, and colder temperatures were expected overnight.
