D-Day: This man was the first to land on Normandy's beaches

- Col. Leonard Schroeder was the first boots on the ground the day the allies invaded Normandy. His courageous survival story still lives on with his friends and family – resonating loudly on a day like June 6.

For decades after the war, he lived out his life in the Tampa Bay area. Sadly, he passed away in 2009. FOX 13's Craig Patrick interviewed him at his home before he died.
