Home sweet home!
I’m thrilled to be joining the FOX 13 Tampa Bay team as a reporter. It’s been my dream to be a reporter since doing the morning announcements in elementary school. I am a Polk County native, so this is a homecoming for me. I grew up in Lakeland and I am so happy to be back in Central Florida and the home of Publix.
I am a graduate of both Florida State University and the University of Florida (I know!) but you will find me in garnet and gold cheering on my ‘Noles.
My broadcast career has taken me to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Memphis, Tennessee where I worked in many roles including producer, reporter, and anchor. I have covered hurricanes, snowstorms, the Charleston Church shootings, the funeral of Rev. Billy Graham, presidential rallies and more.
What I love most about being a journalist is meeting people and telling their stories.
When I’m not at work I enjoy watching sports, being involved in church, mentoring young women and a good cup of coffee or tea.
I would love to hear about unique places to check out as I explore everything that’s changed since I last lived in the Tampa Bay area.
I can’t wait to connect with you. Email me at jonee.lewis@fox.com or follow me on Twitter or Instagram @JoneeLewisTV.
