Wyndham hotels offering discounts for guests who stay off their phones
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Disconnecting could land you a discount on your next hotel stay.
Wyndham hotels is launching a program that gives traveling families a discount in exchange for locking their phones away.
The hotel says 54 percent of children believe their parents check their phones “too often” and 32 percent of children say they feel “unimportant” when their parents are distracted by screens.
In response, select Wyndham hotels will offer a five percent discount to guests who opt-in to the “Reconnected” program
The hotel will provide guests with a lock box to put their phones in and will not open until a set time expires. The offer is available starting February 23 through September 3, based on availability.
