Boat hits Howard Frankland Bridge

A reported boat crash along the Howard Frankland Bridge was slowing traffic for evening commuters Tuesday.

According to a Florida Fish and Wildlife spokesperson, a pleasure boat struck the bridge. At least one victim needed help, but his or her condition was not immediately clear.

The view from SkyFOX showed several boats on the scene along the south span of the bridge. An ambulance and fire truck had stopped in the bridge's right shoulder, slowing the flow of traffic towards Tampa.
