Free flu shots available through Department of Health in Hillsborough Co.
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Health officials in Hillborough County are making flu shots available for free.
The Florida Department of Health in the county says those who are interested in receiving a free shot can visit the Sulphur Springs office, located at 8605 North Mitchell Avenue in Tampa.
Before, only eligible children and adults could receive the vaccine for free.
Free flu shots will be given on a first come, first served basis and while supplies last. There is a limited supply of high dose vaccines, which is given to those older than 64 years old. No appointments are necessary.
