Police: Suspect in June murder case turned himself in

Police in St. Petersburg have arrested the suspect in a murder that happened last month.

Officers say Taurus Randall Frederick turned himself in to the police department Saturday morning, shortly after 10:00 a.m., for the first degree murder of Jeron Anthony Davis.

According to police, Frederick and Davis got into an argument around 1:00 p.m. on June 20th, in the area of 22nd Avenue South and Dr. MLK Jr. Street South.

Frederick allegedly followed Davis in a car and then ran him over, killing him.  Police say Frederick abandoned the car and ran from the scene.

Following Frederick's arrest Saturday morning, he was taken to the Pinellas County Jail and booked.
