Ridgewood High teacher accused of sexual contact with student

- A Pasco County teacher has been accused of having sexual contact with a student, deputies say.

Deputies say they arrested 43-year-old Sean Gallegos, who is a teacher at Ridgewood High School. According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Gallegos engaged in sexual activity with a 16-year-old female student on more than one occasion in April. 

He was arrested for sexual battery in the early morning hours of May 2. There is no word on the employment status of Gallegos with the Pasco County School District.
