Seminole Heights restaurants burglarized

TAMPA (FOX 13) - For weeks, Seminole Heights was gripped by fear, thanks to a serial killer taking the lives of four  victims. Many local businesses saw their customer base decline.  

“It was a visible difference. You could see it was quiet, you could see that driving,” said Russell Breslow of Brew Bus Brewing. 

He says, following the arrest of the prime suspect, the community begin to bounce back. 

“This community sticks together pretty tight after the arrest this place was full and driving around families were out again people walking dogs it felt back to normal,” Breslow said. 

But, over the weekend, some businesses felt a bit more trouble.  A burglar broke into both Ella’s and Martha’s Restaurant early Saturday morning within minutes of each other. 

Surveillance video caught the suspect inside of Martha’s. 

“I think it’s a really close knit community we've seen how everyone pulls together someone out there is going to know who this person is,’ said TPD spokesperson Eddy Durkin. 

Police say in both cases he broke in through the front door.   

“Certainly disheartening it’s frustrating like I said you just want the negativity to be over,” said Breslow. 

There is a $3,000 Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to an arrest.
