Students redesign, sell vintage wedding gowns to benefit theater

- This weekend's Simple Weddings Spring 2016 Bridal Show in St. Petersburg is bringing vintage fashion, local design and high school theater together with a special presentation of wedding gowns.

Students from Gibbs High School's theater department designed, and redesigned, vintage wedding dresses to be fashioned and sold during the show.

The dresses will be sold to buy lighting and sound equipment for the Pinellas County Center for the Arts and Gibbs High School Grand Theater.

The dresses will be modeled by the high-schoolers and then put up for sale at the bridal show, which is being held from noon to 3 p.m. at NOVA 535 in St. Pete.
