Tampa police searching for homicide suspect

- Tampa police need help in finding a homicide suspect.

A shooting occurred at 1716 18th Avenue in Tampa on October 1 that left one man, DuVaughn Shaheed, dead and another seriously injured, according to police. John Hicks, 21, has been arrested in the shooting and charged with murder, but there is an unidentified man believed to have been involved in the shooting as well.

Shaheed’s car, a 2003 gold Ford Taurus, was immediately missing following the shooting, police said.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect in this case.
