Teen hit by car in Tampa

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Authorities say a 14-year-old Hillsborough High School student was struck by a car on Kirby Street in Tampa Monday morning. 

The incident occurred at 6:42 a.m. at 3411 W. Kirby Street near the intersection of Himes Avenue.

The teen, Amanda Suarez, ran across the street and into the path of an oncoming Toyota Sierra mini-van. 

Suarez was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
