Wrong-way I-75 driver arrested

- Deputies say they arrested a Jacksonville man who was drunk and driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 early this morning.

According to the sheriff's office, it was around 1:45 a.m. when a deputy spotted a Dodge Avenger driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75.  The Avenger then made a U-turn to get back into the correct lanes, but was only going about 33 miles per hour.

When the deputy stopped the car, the driver allegedly had an open alcoholic beverage in the car's cupholder.

Kenneth Wishop, 51, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
