Photo: Expectant mom poses for rainbow maternity shoot after suffering miscarriages

- After going through fertility struggles, a couple is celebrating their baby with a beautiful rainbow inspired maternity photo.

In August, Jess' husband Kevin asked  photographer JoAnn Marrero to capture their maternity session. Four years ago, when they were expecting with their first child Corbin, the photographer who did their maternity session unfortunately never delivered their photos so they had no professional portraits to document Jess' pregnancy.
JoAnn says she was touched by Kevin's words and his goal of making sure that, this time, his wife would get all the maternity photos that she always dreamed of having. Jess wanted something rainbow-inspired because of the many fertility struggles she and Kevin had encountered. JoAnn knew she knew to do something "extra special" for the expecting parents.  According to the Huffington Post, Jess suffered six miscarriages over the years.

The photographer told FOX 29 that her vision for part of their session was to create her own rainbow with colorful smoke bombs.

"As a birth and newborn photographer, I take the utmost care and pride in what I am capturing as there are no "do overs" in my field of work especially with births.  I know these captured moments are going to be passed down for generations to come," said JoAnn.

With the help of JoAnn's mentor, Mary of Pebbles & Polkas, they created this truly beautiful image of Jess.
