Florida Aquarium hosting upcoming fun, educational events

- The Florida Aquarium has a few events happen in the next few weeks.

First up is their “Day of Discovery,” an event designed specifically for children with autism or other sensory issues. That’s Saturday, April 7, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Then on April 14 to 15, it’s “Sea Turtle Days” at the aquarium, where you can enjoy fun, educational activities for all ages and learn more about the aquarium’s sea turtle rescue, research, rehab and return-to-ocean programs.

Lastly, SeaGrapes, the aquarium’s big fundraising event, will be held on April 28 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests will be able to experience 50 types of wine to taste and more than 20 Bay Area restaurants. It’s an event where 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket purchases will be donated for the aquarium.
