A Florida man arrested in Monroe County Thursday night for cocaine possession is facing additional charges for chewing up the seat in a deputy's cruiser.

Deputies say Melvin Stubbs, 37, had 40 grams of cocaine on him when he was stopped around 10 p.m. on U.S. 1 for illegal window tinting on his BMW.

While he was being transported to jail, deputies say he chewed up and/or ate the seat of the patrol car.

A photo shows big chunks taken out of the patrol car's seat.

Stubbs faces cocaine trafficking and resisting arrest charges along with property damage.
