Busch Gardens offering behind-the-scenes tour of roller coasters

- Thrill-seekers can soon get a behind-the-scenes look -- or maybe, more accurately, an above-the-scenes look -- at three popular roller coasters at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

The theme park announced the private tours will be available for a limited time starting next week. Those who participate must be at least 14 years old. Anyone under 18 must be with a paying adult.

If you prefer to experience coasters from behind the security of a locked-down safety bar, this may not be for you.  Those who attend will hike to the top of SheiKra and take in a bird’s-eye view of the park and Tampa. They will also be up-close with one of the main launches on Cheetah Hunt, and the tour will finish inside the control room for Cobra’s Curse.

The tour will take approximately two hours, and will be finished before the park opens. Tickets are roughly $50 per person. The price includes preferred parking and front-of-line access to one coaster after the park opens. Pricing could vary depending on the day of the visit.

Additional information on the “Roller Coaster Insider Tour” can be found on the Busch Gardens website.
