TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - New Year's Eve is almost here and preparations are underway. If you're still unsure what your night has in store, consider one of the many events planned in and around Tampa.
At Armature Works in Tampa, they are planning an entire day of events for kids and adults alike. On their patio, there will be games, music and a special celebration for children.
At night, they are doing a high-end all-inclusive party, as well as fireworks at midnight.
There will also be fireworks in Channelside.
In St. Pete, First Night will feature art from about forty artists and plenty of opportunities to participate.
They expect up to 30,000 to buy tickets and another 200,000 to watch fireworks.
"Why not get together the most talented artists and musicians and celebrate all the things at once," said Jamie McWade, the executive director of First Night. "Art brings together community, and that is absolutely what we have in St. Pete."
The Outback Bowl parade will start in Ybor City at about 5:30.
There will also be a special event for children at ZooTampa at Lowry Park at 11 a.m.
