Deputy injured in multi-vehicle crash

- A wrong-way traffic crash closed down the eastbound lanes of Fletcher Avenue at Florida Avenue earlier today.

The view from SkyFOX showed the crash involved a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office cruiser. Deputies say a black SUV hit the cruiser on the driver's side after bouncing off another sedan.

Three people, including the deputy, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators suspect the SUV driver may have suffered from a medical condition before the crash.

The injured deputy was later identified as Deputy John Duran, a school resource deputy at Martinez Middle School.
