Lightning likely cause of Riverview apartment fire

- Hillsborough County Fire Rescue says lightning was likely the cause of a massive fire at Allegro Palm Apartments in Riverview.

No people were injured, but HCFR Chief Frank Herrera said some pets may have been inside some of the apartments.

The fire destroyed two buildings containing 24 apartments, displacing about 100 people.

The fire started on the top floor after a resident reported hearing a loud bang.

It took 60 firefighters a few hours to get the fire under control.
