Minor injuries in Plant City plane crash

- A small plane crashed while trying to take off from Plant City Airport overnight, but no one was seriously hurt.

According to police, it was just before 1 a.m. when the small plane failed to clear the perimeter fence on the west side of the airport property and came to rest on a field off Turkey Creek Road.

Plant City Fire Rescue responded to the scene, but they say they two adults onboard – who had suffered minor injuries – declined treatment.

Police declined to release the occupants' names, citing the FAA investigation.
