Pedestrian dies following hit-and-run crash in Tampa

- A pedestrian has died following a hit-and-run crash in Tampa, police say.

The crash occurred Wednesday morning in the 6900 block of East Adamo Drive, and police tell FOX 13 the eastbound lanes may be closed between 50th Street and Orient Road for the next several hours.

Tampa police say the investigation is in the preliminary stages and no other details will be immediately released, including the pedestrian’s identity, pending notification of a next-of-kin.
