A Pinellas County K9 tracked down a suspect who tried to hide in the undercarriage of a semi-truck, deputies say, and ended up getting stuck.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Pinellas County deputies and K9 unit responded to the area of Gandy and San Martin boulevards after learning there was a female subject, later identified as 33-year-old Nanci Crandall, with active felony warrants. They said she fled on foot.

K9 Hector, deputies say, was deployed and found her hiding in the undercarriage of a semi. They said she became trapped between the frame of the truck and the axle.

St. Pete firefighters assisted in removing her from underneath the truck. She was arrested on two felony fraud warrants and obstruction.
