Polk County deputies warn of porch pirates

- Most Halloween decorations are still hanging while some are already preying on holiday shoppers this season.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the agency is investigating a series of porch package thefts in Davenport.

Surveillance video posted on the agency's Facebook page shows possibly a male and female riding in a suspect vehicle, most likely a 2012 black Chevy Camaro, and swiping packages from porches in the Davenport Estates and Legacy Park subdivisions.

All of the boxes were from Amazon and were found open and empty about a mile from each  scene.

This happened a total of five times between October 23 and 24. If you recognize the woman in the video you’re asked to call Heartland CrimeStoppers at 1-800-226-8477.
