'Significantly decomposed' body found in Lakeland
LAKELAND (FOX 13) - Investigators in Polk County are on the scene where a "significantly decomposed" body was found Friday.
The remains were found near S Combee Road/CR 33 A and Skyview Drive, near Crystal Lake, in Lakeland.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is calling it a death investigation at this point.
An autopsy will be performed to figure out the sex of the deceased, the cause of their death, and possibly their identity.
