Toddler hurt in Bayshore Blvd. crash dies from her injuries

- The 21-month-old toddler who was injured when she and her mother were hit by a car while walking across Bayshore Boulevard has died from her injuries, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Lillia Raubenolt was in a stroller being pushed by her mother, 24-year-old Jessica Raubenolt (previously identified as Jessica Reisinger), who died shortly after being hit Wednesday.

Police say the mother and child were hit by a car engaged in street racing with another car.

Three people, the two drivers and a passenger, have been arrested and charged in the incident. They have since bonded out of jail.

Police say the death of the toddler means the charges against the drivers will be upgraded. They now both face two charges of vehicular homicide.
