Woman found injured in St. Pete park passes away

- A woman found with serious injuries in a St. Petersburg park has passed away.

St. Pete police say 43-year-old Christie New was found in Lake Maggiore Park in south St. Pete just before noon March 1, by a city park employee. At the time, they said she was suffering from obvious trauma.

Detectives are asking for the public's help to find the person responsible for the woman's injuries.
