World's tallest hat sits atop Tampa artist's head

- A Tampa artist says he will soon be a Guinness World Record holder.

Odilon Ozare claims he has the created the tallest hat in the world. At 18 feet, 9 inches, it’s difficult to think he would be denied the title.

The current world record hat is only about half the size - 9 feet, 9 inches.

Ozare considers himself a milliner – also known as a hat maker.

His current head-topper took seven weeks to construct.

The top hat features real peacock feathers, rhinestones, ribbon, and birds.

Ozare is still waiting to receive the official world from Guinness that his hat is the tallest, but he expects that to happen soon.
