Missing Gainesville baby found safe

- Deputies in Alachua County say a missing Gainesville baby has been found safe.

Yesterday, they issued a missing child alert for Jayce Jenkins, a 3-week-old baby. Detectives believed he had been illegally taken by his mother, who was enrolled in a drug treatment program.

This afternoon, though, the sheriff's office said the boy had been found in Gainesville and was OK.

No other details were immediately available.
