POLK CITY (FOX 13) - A horse died in a Polk County crash involving two semi-tractor trailers, deputies say.
Deputies are investigating a crash on Commonwealth Avenue that occurred north of Green Pond Road in Polk County before 5 a.m. Wednesday.
At least one of the semis collided with the horse. One driver is uninjured while the second driver was pinned in the truck. That driver has since been extracted.
Both directions were shut down for a few hours but reopened after 10 a.m.
