LAKELAND (FOX 13) - Lakeland Fire officials say a CSX train stalled on the tracks for several hours caused serious traffic backups in downtown Lakeland Saturday morning.
The train stalled on the tracks around 7:30 a.m., and drivers were asked to avoid the area by using US Hwy. 98 or other alternate routes around downtown Lakeland.
Fire officials tweeted a photo of the stalled train around 10:30 Saturday morning to advise drivers of the problem. Authorities say the train was cleared from the downtown area around 11:30.
