A dog supplement brand is recalling two of their supplements after tests showed they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
What we know:
The supplement, Fi, said the issue stems from an ingredient supplied to its manufacturer, which has suspended production while they investigate the source. According to the announcement from the Food & Drug Administration, the recall covers two 180-gram products, Fi Calming Supplement for Dogs and Fi 8-in-1 Formula Supplement for Dogs.
The supplements were sold online through Amazon and Chewy, as well as directly to consumers.

Why you should care:
Salmonella can have a similar adverse effect on dogs as it does have in humans. Pets infected can become lethargic and show signs of diarrhea, fevers and vomiting with decreased appetite.
