Vehicle overturns, crashes into apartment air conditioning units in Pasco County: FHP
ODESSA, Fla. - Two women were taken to area hospitals following a crash on Wednesday afternoon in Pasco County.
The backstory:
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 78-year-old woman from Odessa was traveling westbound on the private drive of 13589 SR 54 approaching Gunn Highway in a Land Rover Range Rover.
At the same time, troopers say a 21-year-old Tampa woman was traveling southbound on Gunn Highway in a Ford van.
At the intersection, troopers say the Odessa woman continued across Gunn Highway to Long Spur without yielding and was struck by the Tampa woman, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Post-impact, the Tampa woman’s vehicle came to a rest in the roadway, while the Odessa woman’s Range Rover struck a rock wall and tree, causing it to spin and flip over before colliding with apartment air conditioning units.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals.
