Civil Rights Pioneer Cora Tyson Reflects on the Florida Campaign

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and civil rights leaders across the nation converged on St. Augustine for the decisive battle for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. They planned the campaign from Cora Tyson’s living room. She invited Dr. King and the brain trust of the civil rights movement to stay in her home, as they changed the course of history. Fox 13’s Craig Patrick sat down with Mrs. Tyson after her 100th birthday for an oral history on Florida’s freedom struggle and the path to equality.
