Winter Haven police search for daytime home burglary

Police are searching for a burglar who broke into an elderly woman’s home during daylight hours, they say. On Thursday, around 10 a.m., the victim, who lives in the 400 block of Avenue O SE in Winter Haven found her kitchen door was wide open. Then, she discovered the exterior door to the garage was removed from its hinges, Winter Haven police said.
