Bloodhound rescue from highway

A Placer County deputy was driving eastbound on Highway 80 east of Penryn, California. They deputy saw the bloodhound run frantically across the highway while motorists tried to avoid hitting it. Then the dog ran in the opposite direction and was hit, becoming pinned with its paw under one of the rear tires. Courtesy: Place County Sheriff's Office
