Warmer Gulf waters could intensify hurricane season

FOX 13's meteorologist Dave Osterberg says the last time the Gulf waters were similarly this warm, was in 2017, the year Hurricane Harvey formed. Just because there are warmer waters, it doesn't mean more hurricanes will form in the Gulf, but if you take in all the ingredients needed to form a hurricane, and add warmer waters, storms could intensify.
