What they're saying:
Lourdes Estrada lives next door to the home where it happened and said she first heard screams coming from the front yard around 11 a.m. on Friday morning.
"It was terrifying. I was shocked and freaked out," Estrada said. "I had never seen anything like that before."
Estrada called 911 after watching the attack unfold. She described seeing her neighbor, lying face-down on the ground while several dogs bit her. Estrada said the man who lives at the home struggled to pull his dogs away.
"They were nipping and biting at her," she said. "He would get a group of them away and then the other group would come around the other side and start biting her."
Other neighbors told FOX 13 that there have been dozens of dogs on the property. Some say they previously reported their concerns to police. Estrada believes this situation could have been avoided with better care for the animals.
"If you have a lot of dogs, you need to have a bigger property," she said. "Let them out more, so they’re not inside all the time frustrated."
What we don't know:
It is unclear what provoked the attack.
The woman involved has not been identified.
