Clearwater Coast Guard crew aids Hurricane victims in Puerto Rico
CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - The U.S. Coast Guard shared new images with us from Puerto Rico. An MH-60 crew from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater delivered some much-needed supplies to the hurricane-ravaged island.
The crew flew their Jayhawk helicopter into some of the more remote sections of the island, bringing food and water to those residents cut off from ground supply routes.
This the Clearwater crew visited near Isabela, Puerto Rico. There area is one of the spots that has been cut off by mudslides and washed-out roads following Hurricane Maria.
The relief supplies were a part of a joint Coast Guard effort across the island.
