TAMPA (FOX 13) - First, the doughnut ice cream cone took over the internet; then it took over the Tampa Bay area- just for a day. And now, Datz Dough says they're here to stay!
After the popular south Tampa eatery challenged themselves to make and sell a limited supply of the Prague-based treats earlier this month, Datz Dough has decided to give them a permanent home on their menu.
Starting at noon on Thursday, March 31, the restaurant will start selling the doughnut ice cream cone daily.
They'll begin the sale with their original over-the-top, stunt food recipe- which included the cinnamon sugar cone that is lined with Nutella, filled with jelly doughnut ice cream, and topped with bacon caramel popcorn, whipped cream, and a cherry- but then they plan to mix things up in the future.
"Every Monday, we’ll announce the soft serve ice cream flavor (which will change weekly!) and the toppings that will be available for the doughnut cone," explains their website.
The cones will be first come, first serve each day, and will sell for $10 apiece.
