Honda is recalling over 440,000 minivans due to issues with faulty air bags.

What we know:

A software error could cause some of the air bags to deploy unexpectedly, according to the recall notice from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The recall could potentially include 440,830 models of the 2018-2022 Odyssey minivans.

What's next:

To fix the issue, dealers would have to reprogram or replace the supplemental restraint system (SRS) electronic control unit.

Recall notifications will be sent out to owners on May 25, 2026. Owners may also contact Honda’s customer service at 888-234-2138.

Dealerships will repair the issue, as needed, free of charge.
