On Thursday morning around 1:15, two thieves broke into Estate Coin and Jewelry Galleria in Sarasota. The pair spent only about 60 seconds inside, targeting vintage coins and expensive jewelry.

"They knew exactly what they were going for," said Sarasota police spokeswoman Genevieve Judge.

Sarasota police say the pair pried open the back door of the store on Main Street. Investigators estimate the suspects got away with goods ranging in value from $50,000 to $100,000.

Other area jewelry stores are not on high alert, and for good reason. Police say the same couple was seen the day before by Milian Jewelers' surveillance cameras.

One of the people seen in Milian's video is a woman with a long braid. Police say the braid is just like the one worn by the woman suspected in the most recent burglary.

Wolfgang said the pair never took off their sunglasses and asked unusual questions.

"I didn't really notice too much about them when they were here. It's just afterward," she recalled. "They had a very specific request and that's not how people shop."

Investigators think this isn't their first heist, based on the way the crime was committed. Police hope to capture the pair before they strike again.
