    WEEKI WACHEE, Fla. - A man trying to cross U.S. 19 in Hernando County died Friday after getting hit by a tractor-trailer, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

    What we know:

    According to FHP, a 35-year-old Weeki Wachee man walked onto the highway south of West Merrivale Ln. shortly before 2:30 p.m. Thursday and was hit by a truck going southbound. He died at the scene.

    What we don't know:

    FHP did not release the name of the man who died.
