A foot dangling from the ceiling is the first glimpse police got of a man suspected of burglarizing Johnny's Pizza.

St. Petersburg police said someone broke in to the restaurant in the early morning hours of August 11.

They said he lowered himself into the building, which is on 28th Street N, by coming in through the roof and through the ceiling.

The man lowers himself onto the front counter and immediately opens the cash register, which appears to be empty. After rummaging through some shelves under the counter, he moves on to the kitchen, opening cabinets and coolers.

Police said he got away with about $300 worth of food and tried to pry open an ATM machine inside the business.

Anyone who might know the identity of the man in the video is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780 or text "SPPD" and an anonymous tip to 847-411 (Tip-411.)
