Police: USF student robs pizza delivery person with toy gun
TAMPA (FOX 13) - A University of South Florida student has been charged with armed robbery after allegedly threatening a pizza delivery man with a toy gun and requesting free pizza early Tuesday morning.
The USF Tampa Police Department received a call at around 4 a.m. reporting the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver outside the campus's Holly residential hall.
The victim reported to officers that a man approached him with what appeared to be a handgun inside of his waistband and demanded free pizza.
Officers searched the area and located the suspect, 20-year-old Keion Cantrell of Maitland, Florida. Cantrell is a USF student who lives in the university's Holly apartments.
Police recovered a black object from Cantrell, which turned out to be a toy handgun.
Cantrell was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
