WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. - A Florida man who troopers say was involved in a minor crash in front of the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel was hit and killed Wednesday night.
What we know:
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 40-year-old Sanford man was traveling westbound on State Road 56 shortly after 10:15 p.m. when he struck a 34-year-old Sanford man who had just been involved in a minor crash east of Shops Lane.
Troopers said the 34-year-old man walked into the path of the Honda Civic driven by the 40-year-old Sanford man.
Troopers are investigating a deadly crash along SR 56 near The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel.
The 34-year-old was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The 40-year-old driver was not injured in the crash.
What we don't know:
It is unclear if the two men knew each other.
