A dash camera video shows the moment an alleged drunk driver almost hits a deputy and then knocks the driver's side mirror off a truck parked on the side of a road in Alachua County.

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office posted the video on its Twitter page Wednesday to reinforce why drivers should move over for law enforcement and first responder vehicles.

In the video, a deputy and another man are standing on the shoulder of the roadway next to a parked law enforcement SUV. A pickup truck is parked in front of the SUV. Another cruiser is parked behind.

The cruiser's dashcam captures a white pickup truck barrel past, only inches from the deputy's left arm.

The SUV's dash camera then captures the white pickup truck hit the driver's side mirror of the parked pickup truck, sending it flying over the parked vehicle and into the distance.

The deputy signals to his colleague and says "Go get him!"

A second deputy gets into his cruiser and pulls the white pickup over.

The driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, according to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office.
